My Teaching Philosophy

Teaching Philosophy: Welcome

Throughout my entire life, my parents have always believed that education is the most powerful tool that one can obtain because it can lead to endless possibilities that expand our minds, uncover the truth, and discover one's capabilities. With this in mind, they have always influenced me to continue learning and help create the same opportunities for students to reach their dreams and aspirations. As an educator, it is my responsibility to serve all students with a top-notch education they deserve in a safe and nurturing environment. Focusing on the development of relationships with families and communities because forming these partnerships help children from various backgrounds reach their full potential. I will make sure that all voices are heard and that each student is seen in my classroom. In my class, I will invite full and active engagement from all of the students in the flipped classroom setting where the students can take ownership of their learning and knowledge that is standards-based and supported by research. I will be there to support and ensure effective teaching with blended universal intentional lessons. I want to create an inclusive classroom where diversity and multiple intelligences are embraced and incorporated into the lessons. Not only will the English learners or students with disabilities benefit from these learning opportunities within differentiated instruction, but all students will be engaged and actively challenged at their own pace and level. I believe it is vital to have students own their learning and education through multiple means of representation, expression, engagement. Also, I will spark their curiosity by letting my students question, gain perspective, and think beyond our class activities and lessons.  I want to be able to provide positive feedback upon the students' work along with constructive feedback that enables them to think further about what is the next step in their own educational goals. I believe, as a teacher, I must do what I can to help my students to be prepared today's students to succeed in tomorrow's world and to strive for success by providing them the necessary knowledge and skills needed for the future. My students will feel empowered in my classroom and see value in the knowledge that they have gained while feeling ready and confident in continuing to learn beyond their capabilities. I only hope that my students will come to my classroom, knowing that I will accept them even before they step in and that I will support them in their journey.
